Outside of some major apps being notable by their absence, my first major criticism of the BlackBerry Z10 is the boot time.

Gosh it’s slow.

I just timed it at over a minute and even then it’s another 30 seconds for the Hub to update. With background processes running the device is pretty much unusable for at least two minutes after first powering on.

I’d expect this on a device highly personalized and loaded with apps, but aside from half a dozen apps, my Z10 is pretty much box-fresh.

I just found this video which highlights the [lengthy] boot time perfectly, the Z10 was almost a minute behind the iPhone.
